Kruger Safari and Mauritius Holiday

Kruger Safari and Mauritius Itinerary:

Day 1: Depart on overnight flight to South Africa

Day 2: Johannesburg – Kruger
Arrive early morning into Johannesburg where the Out of Africa representative will meet you and assist with the transfer to the domestic terminal, where you will catch the short (50 mins) connecting flight  to Hoedspruit in the Kruger Region.  On arrival you’ll be welcomed and transferred to Thornybush Safari Lodge. This is where your safari adventure begins.

Check into your room, freshen up and enjoy some lunch before you depart on the first of your safari drives to track down Africa’s Big 5 game animals and try to spot lesser known African animals such as the pangolin, spotted hyena and the rarely seen honey badger. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner under the stars in the boma around the camp fire.

Days 3 and 4: Safari
Two full days of game viewing activities, each starting with an early wake-up call as you head out into the bush veld. You will return to the lodge for breakfast and then have time to relax by the pool or enjoy a spa treatment before lunch is served.

Day 6: Johannesburg – Mauritius
Cross to the International Terminal where you will check in for your flight.  Arrive into Mauritius in the afternoon where you will be met by the Out of Africa representative and transferred to your hotel, the Paradise Cove (Adults only) or The Residence.

Mauritius is a perfect tropical beach destination for both couples on a romantic getaway and and families looking for a relaxing break. It is also perfect for golfers in need of their ‘fix’! There are a number of resorts with their own golf courses which guests can enjoy on an unlimited basis.

The island is known for its white sand beaches, turquoise blue waters and incredible water-based activities. The hotel options are as sophisticated as they are beautiful and whichever one you choose, rest assured that your every need has been anticipated.

Days 7-14: Mauritius
Spend seven sunny days enjoying the beaches, water sports, golf courses, scuba diving or deep sea fishing in this tropical playground. If all that sounds too energetic, sit back and relax on the palm fringed beaches and enjoy a cocktail or two.

The island is extremely safe and, at approximately 40 miles north to south and 28 miles east to west, it is the ideal size to explore. Rent a soft-top jeep and spend a day or two cruising around the markets, shops, towns and tourist sites of this multi-cultural island. We can also arrange for you to join scheduled tour to Port Louis, or one of the Rum Plantations to sample their wares.
