The perfect introduction for a first time safari holiday to Kenya, this 9 day itinerary includes the Masai Mara, the quintessentially African safari experience with the Big Five, endless open plains and expert Masaai guides. Then, after an exciting time on safari there could be no better way to continue your holiday than a few nights at the beautiful Kenyan coast. Enjoy crystal clear waters and palm fringed, white sand for a relaxing beach stay. There is plenty to keep you busy with water sports, golf courses and tours, otherwise enjoy some well earned rest and relaxation by the pool.

Day 1  Nairobi –  Masai Mara
On arrival into Nairobi you will be met and transferred to Nairobi’s domestic Wilson airport for your onwards flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival into the Mara you will be met by your guide and will be transferred by a game vehicle to Speke’s Camp where you will spend your first 3 nights on a fully inclusive basis with game drives included.

Speke’s Camp is located on private land on the edge of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, close to the Musiara Swamps. This intimate camp is located in an excellent game area and offers an exclusive game viewing experience, with every set of guests getting private use of a vehicle throughout. Game drives take place within the reserve, which is home to the Big Five, and is renowned for its lion sightings. Between July and October, the camp is in a prime position for the annual wildebeest migration.

Arrive at the camp in time for High Tea and a chance to unpack before the first of your twice daily game drives departs. Return to the camp for dinner.

Day 2 & 3  Masai Mara
Enjoy two fill days of game viewing activities hosted by your expert Maasai Guides. Each day you will depart early in the morning, returning to the camp for a hearty breakfast and then enjoy some relaxing down-time before the later afternoon drive departs.

Day 4  Masai Mara – Diani Beach
A final morning’s game drive before you return to the camp for breakfast and check out. You will be taken back to the airstrip for the direct flight leaving to Mombasa on the coast.

On arrival you will be met and taken by road to your hotel, the Almanara Boutique Hotel where you will spend the next 5 nights with breakfast included. Spend your days relaxing by the pool or on the beach, or if you’re feeling a little more active, there are numerous water sports that can be arranged by the hotel or in the local area such as kite surfing and wind surfing, diving and fishing, as well as many daily excursions.

Days 5-8  Diani Beach
Enjoy four full days relaxing at Almanara.

Day 9   Diani Beach – Nairobi
This afternoon you will be collected from your hotel and driven back to Diani airstrip, from where you take a light aircraft flight back to Nairobi Wilson airport. On arrival you are met and privately transferred to Nairobi International airport for your evening, overnight flight back home.
