Avani Victoria Falls Hotel

This 4 star property offers excellent value and is ideally located close to the Falls on the banks of the Zambezi River. The warm, earthy architecture, has been inspired by an African walled village with accents and highlights in bright mosaics to create a fun contemporary feel.

The hotel is set in landscaped gardens that lead directly down to the Falls. It is located inside the Mosi oa Tunya National Park which means guests can walk to the Falls without having to pay the park fees, which is a great saving.

The 212 en-suite rooms and suites are open and airy, and tastefully adorned with a hand crafted fusion of exotic designs and motifs. All rooms include air conditioning, electronic safes, satellite televisions and wifi access. The guestrooms open outwards into the natural African bush, or face inwards to the large central pool and landscaped gardens, with private, shaded balconies.

Dining
There are a couple of dining options; choose either from the Poolside Bar and Grill which serves pizzas and snacks or the more formal ‘Theatre of Dining’ with its African and International menu.

On Saturdays there is an outdoor ‘boma’ barbecue style meal where guest dine al fresco around the fire.

Activities
There is plenty to do in and around Livingstone, including day safaris to Botswana and the nearby national parks. There are guided walking tours of the Falls, as well as helicopter trips, river cruises and cultural village visits. For adrenalin junkies you can bungee jump and jet boat as well as a host of other adventure activities.

There is a spa at the hotel offering treatments and massages.

Children are warmly welcomed at the hotel which has a large dedicated children’s play area and kid’s club in the gardens.
