Franschhoek, once home to the French Hugenot immigrants, is now the thriving centre of the gastronomic community. Cafés and restaurants line the main street where you can enjoy some of the local specialities- perfect for lunch al fresco. There are a number of ways to explore the wine estates, by car (either self drive or a guided tour); on horse back; by bike, or on foot, talk to our experts about a wine tasting tour - we have plenty of ideas!

The names of Stellenbosch and Paarl are more familiar for their excellent wines that can be bought in the UK store, but are also home to some superb restaurants offering the very highest standards of gourmet cuisine.
We can arrange for you to visit some of the region's wine producers and top vineyards, tell us what you prefer or let us choose a selection of wine styles for you to sample. We can arrange a driver so you can fully appreciate the wine, or provide you with a self-drive route. Finish off your day with a 'tasting menu' at one of the winelands fine manor hotels. Sample local delicacies such as Cape Foie Gras, Fynbos-infused cheese, Kingklip fish and of course Cape Wines! If you need to work off some of the good living, most of the hotels are equipped with spas, pools and the region is famous for its walking and riding trails. Golfers have the choice of at least 14 courses in the vicinity.

The region can be explored as a day trip from Cape Town, or we can arrange for you to stay at one of the excellent hotels in the area. Accommodation is in smaller, more intimate properties that have been chosen to reflect the traditional hospitality of the region.
